V. Williams, Mendelssohn, R. Korsakov."Pop" many sung by F. Sinatra, M. Monroe, etc...ABBA & Beatles.
Carol, "O come all ye faithful". Hymn, "Abide with me".
Stage musicals; Blood Brothers (saw about 6 times with various cast), Les! Mis; and Phantom.
Filmed musicals; 1940's mostly, & Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly (Singin' in the rain fav.)
Other movies; 1930's Tarzan films (used to watch as boy, with Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers series).
and 1950's Ealing comedies.
In the mid 1930's, Lez's Dad had offices on The Strand and with his movie
reviewing work, used to mix with some of the big film stars. He took Lez to a film studio where
he met stars like, Sonny Hale, his sister Binnie Hale (whom Lez remembered was very nice and
looked after him whilst his Dad did some interviews etc.)
Charlie Chaplin was very pleased to have a good review and offered a car as thanks, which was declined
in favour of lunch at the Savoy, where Lez was often taken by his Dad to meet stars.

Lust for life" & other artist life stories.
Lez was also an assistant projectionist at cinema, aged about 15+, so saw many repeated.
Also he stood in as film reviewer for his Dad's press agency.
TV shows, Dads army, Porridge, Rising damp. Murder she wrote, Flog it, Antique Roadshow & such.
Any art documentary, or bio of performers.
Books, few story books but lots about artists, performer bio's; art methods etc....
Fav; colour Green. Wall colour= cream.
Olden days Pro-Artists; Monet, Vincent, W. Langley. 20thC. D. Sheppard, A.D.Drew, etc.....
A fav; painting is hung at Birmingham art gallery, "Fill dyke" by Leader.
Plants, Lavender, honeysuckle, chrysanths, lilac, hypericum, hyacinths and many wild flowers.
Foods; vegetarian since c.1988, almost vegan since 2018. Chicken style Christmas lunch.
Ice cream (vanilla/strawberry). Dark chocolate, hard fruit drops. Apples (Cox).
Ginger nut or Rich tea biscuits.
Drink, Cocoa, tea, not too keen on coffee, no beer or spirits, a small glass of wine rarely.
Cornflakes & soy milk, Jumbo Oats with hot water on & few sultanas.
Sport, unlike his Dad & older brothers who were into football & cricket, Lez was not at all interested.
He would much rather go for a country walk, sketch & be inspired for his next painting or poem/story.
Although he was good at darts, and a crack shot with a riffle.
He also liked to watch the ice skating dances on TV.
